Role Description The Kitchen and Bath Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Newport, KY. This position is responsible for meeting with clients to understand their needs, budgets, and style preferences, and translating those requirements into detailed kitchen and bath designs. Day-to-day tasks include developing floor plans and elevations, selecting cabinetry, materials, and finishes, preparing quotes and proposals, and coordinating with installers and suppliers to ensure accurate execution of designs. The designer will guide clients through product selections, present design concepts, and support the sales process by providing professional recommendations and clear communication. The role also involves maintaining organized project documentation, following up on orders, and contributing to the showroom’s visual presentation and overall customer experience. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Kitchen & Bath Design and space planning, including the ability to create functional, code-compliant, and aesthetically pleasing layouts. Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to build rapport, listen effectively, and present design solutions clearly to diverse clients. Sales abilities, including consultative selling, preparing proposals, and supporting clients through the decision-making process. Knowledge of Cabinetry, materials, and finishes, with the ability to recommend products that align with project budgets and design goals. Proficiency with design software (e.g., 2020 Design, CAD, or similar tools) and basic computer skills for documentation and email communication. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
